Our Beach
As well as being a great beach for relaxing on, the beach also offers a from sitting back watching “Agnes” our resident saddle-billed stork or “Trevor” our resident fish eagle, to the many thousands of crabs scuttling about building new holes daily for them to be destroyed at high tide.
A walk along our Kilwa beach shows you the true nature of the area to our right is a fishing village where men return in traditional dhow-boats groaning with fresh seafood; to our left nothing but sand, shells, crabs and more birds: from tiny plovers to swooping hawks.
With few other visitors to our Kilwa beach, we feel it is our perogative to keep the beach in exactly the same state as we find it now and we ask all our guest to try and keep to this philosophy.
