WHO WE ARE
Three generations of the Henderson family; including several members have been involved with this beautiful lodge and with tourism in East Africa for the last 30 years.
The beach was a family run coconut plantation for many years and was then built as a base and campsite for an overland safari company called Kilwa Safari.
Guests traveled throughout Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique and camped for a week on the deserted Masoko Pwani.
The campsite was upgraded in 2011 and the name changed from Upepo Pwani to Kilwa Beach Lodge.
We have now been in operation for over 5 years and we welcome everyone to come and explore the beauty of Kilwa.
THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN
Our lodge would be nothing without our team; many of whom have been with us for many years.
